An Egyptian artist painting original works from Leeds, England, where Egyptian warmth meets northern light.
My work lives between two places, the warmth and colour I grew up with in Egypt, and the quieter, cooler light of the north of England where I now live and paint.

Trained in both fine art and interior design. Not a compromise, a perspective. I understand how a painting commands a room before anyone notices why. I don't paint to decorate. I paint to change how a space feels the moment you walk into it.
Each canvas is built slowly, layering pigment and memory until the surface begins to breathe.
A limited palette. A blank canvas. Something unspoken that needs to exist. What comes out is always a surprise, and always, somehow, mine. Sometimes figures appear that I never intended to paint. I only see them when the work is done.

Life has a way of reshaping your relationship with making things. I'm back in the studio now, and the work feels different, more considered, less anxious.
