BrightonArtistic background
As a small child, I always loved the idea of picking up a pencil and sketching anything that moved — or didn’t. It gave me a rush of excitement, a sense of joy and, perhaps most importantly, a feeling of pride in creating something of my own. Most Saturday mornings, I would put myself in front of experienced local artists, eager to learn the basics. It was during those early years that I fell in love with oils.
Alas, life, work and reality eventually turned painting into a hobby, and for many years my brushes remained more of a pastime than a passion.
But the desire to paint never really left me.
A personal drive to give it a second chance has brought me to where I am today. I am once again learning, experimenting and discovering where my painting can take me.
I hope to keep evolving as an artist — and, above all, to continue enjoying that same sense of excitement I felt when I first picked up a pencil as a child.
