Artistic background

Hi, my name's Phil, I'm married to Vicky, live in Warwickshire in the United Kingdom, I'm a professional photographic artist, have a Diploma in Photography, got a distinction, Warwickshire College did Level 3 City & Guild in Photography, in Birmingham Level 1 NCFE in Photography and Animation, have a passion for composition or whatever captures my eye. I was born in Stafford but grew up in Birmingham, now live in Leamington Spa not lost the Birmingham Twang though. I do have autism, this disability is about communication, bit like going to a foreign and not knowing the language this makes me more creative though. I use a mirrorless camera, enjoy taking landscapes, nature, flowers, coastal scenes, sunsets or whatever captures my eye, to experiment using different camera settings, I enjoy taking photos for most of the year except in the Winter when the days are short, to take images in the morning, afternoon when the light is softer or the golden hour before dusk. I keep photo editing to a minimum to avoid destructive editing, photo editing is a skill in itself, can be time consuming I always take photos in RAW then process them in my digital darkroom using Photoshop, need to know what the different setting, use adjustment layers because photos can be easily ruined, especially when applying sharpening then there no going back. I like travelling, I have a Chocolate Labrador, Buddy, my wife and Buddy come with me when I'm on holiday or day trips. I enjoy taking photos in the UK and locally in Warwickshire as well. I do charity work for Rethink and Mind in Warwickshire, I'm their photographer have five years' experience photographing their social events, have had some of my work published in Rethink's National Magazine. I have photographed my local MP's as well.
