The River Monarch Oil

The River Monarch is a vibrantly coloured oil painting of a kingfisher by a river. It is 36x30x1.5inches. The Kingfisher sits on a semi transparent branch and behind her you see a river lined with pink flowers and green trees. Veils of transparent gold overlap the bird and the background in places giving the painting the feeling that something is in transition. I often paint kingfisher’s as I find them breath-taking gorgeous and though I rarely see them, it always feels as if I have been privy to bit of precious magic when I do.
