Description

An acrylic painting on board.
I started making a provisional sketch with added colours. Once happy with the balance and form of composition, I go about starting the painting. After putting in a background wash,my aim is to complete the main painting in one session.
Once dry(next day or so) a final diluted wash of brown umber or similar is applied to give a slightly aged effect. Then finally a coat of varnish to protect the integrity of the painting.
