From ENVIRONMENT Series: Wealth, authority, and power, when used selfishly, place the natural world under pressure. Stumbling across a peeling painted wall, I saw a pale and unsettling figure hovering between menace and memory, as if the surface itself were concealing a threat. Set against decay and the suggestion of a weapon, the image feels charged with unease, while mushrooms at the base imply the stubborn persistence of life and the slow, uneasy work of regeneration.
