Orange Current – Orange and Grey Textured Abstract Painting Acrylic

Orange Current is a striking original abstract painting defined by energetic texture and a vivid band of orange moving across a sophisticated grey background. Black, earthy tones and subtle touches of gold add depth and contrast, giving the composition its powerful contemporary character.

I built the surface in numerous layers, using raised structures, irregular lines and expressive marks to create a sense of movement across the long horizontal canvas. The intense orange appears almost like a current of energy breaking through the quieter grey tones, while small golden details catch the light and reveal themselves from different viewing angles.

The panoramic 120 x 40 cm format makes Orange Current particularly effective above a sofa, sideboard or dining area. Despite its bold colour accent, the restrained grey and black palette gives the painting an elegant, modern presence.

The artwork is presented in a black floater frame, which provides a crisp contrast and beautifully completes the composition.
