Inspired by the carpet of these pretty little flowers that cover my lawn every spring, Crocuses is a true vision of springtime joy. I got right down to ground level and took the photo that inspired this painting, wonderful to see all those little purple and white flowers popping up above the grass with the flashes of orange from their stamens.
