London Rain at Big Ben. Acrylic

London Rain at Big Ben.
Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament rise above a rain-washed London street, where cool blue reflections are punctuated by red buses and warm lights. Loose, expressive brushwork keeps the familiar city view lively while the restrained grey-blue and olive palette gives it a calm, atmospheric mood. The long wet roadway draws the eye into the distance and brings a feeling of movement without losing the scene's quietness. This original work would suit a contemporary interior, an urban collection or anyone with a connection to London.
