Description
It is an original painting. Acrylic on canvas (80 x 60 cm).
The inspiration for this piece comes from my childhood. Bright early summer mornings filled with a smell of freshly picked strawberries for breakfast. Our family owned a big field of strawberry plants that always fascinated me. It was so big that I only managed to explore a small part of it, closer to the house. Little me was always curious about the other side of the field. What is life like out there? Who lives there? As a result my mind would play out different scenarios. Most of the time I would picture little animals living behind the strawberries, enjoying early summer morning breeze just like us on our side of the field. I visualised these animals having delightful little meetings filled with joy, playfulness and sense of safety.
This is my attempt to recreate that vision on a piece of canvas. This painting is about innocence and curiosity. It fills my heart with warmth and lightness. I hope it makes you feel the same way.
