Description
Fragments of Remembrance is a tactile abstract mixed media artwork exploring memory as a layered, fragile, and precious experience. Soft stone-grey and muted blue tones create a calm, contemplative atmosphere, while raised textures and flowing organic lines evoke geological strata — fragments of time preserved within matter.
Accents of gold leaf symbolize moments of memory that remain luminous: those we carry with particular warmth, pain, or emotional significance. Circular elements and spiral motifs suggest continuity, cycles, and the quiet movement of time, while darker textured paths introduce depth and transformation.
This work invites slow viewing and personal interpretation, allowing the viewer to project their own memories onto the surface.
Fragments of Remembrance was exhibited at the Mixed Media Exhibition (November–December 2025) at Open Gallery, Halifax
