Every year a breeding pair of swans produce their family on the Basingstoke canal. This is just one of many studies that I have done of swans over the years
The Basingstoke Canal runs through our village, originally linking the Wey navigation with Basingstoke. The intention was to link London with Southampton but by then the railway had started to take over
