Born to be Wild! Acrylic

Born To Be Wild is an original acrylic painting inspired by the freedom, character and individuality associated with the American West.

The painting depicts a mysterious, free-spirited woman wearing a distinctive cowboy hat, with long flowing hair with their face hidden from view. I wanted to capture a sense of independence and adventure while leaving the identity of the figure open to the viewer’s imagination.

Warm ochre, sandy gold, soft blue and earthy brown tones are layered with expressive acrylic marks, giving the piece a gentle, atmospheric quality. The flowing hair and sweeping shape of the hat create movement across the composition, while the hidden face adds an element of mystery.

The artwork is an original one-off painted with acrylics, signed by me as K Shaw, and is presented in a blue-grey frame with a coordinating mount.
