Whispers of the Woodland Acrylic

A winding woodland path leads the eye through the painting, creating a wonderful sense of depth and inviting you into the scene. I used bold, flowing shapes and expressive brushwork throughout the trees and foliage, giving the landscape a contemporary, almost illustrative feel while still keeping the tranquillity of a natural woodland.

I particularly love the contrast between the dark tree trunks and the lighter greens and cool tones throughout the background. It gives the piece a sense of atmosphere, movement and depth.
