Description
As the painting's title shows, 'drought', is about our nature, our weather, changing of climate in many parts of the world, at many places.
Countries with less and less rain every year mostly because of us, because people choose wrong strategy to live together with nature. Or they don't care nature at all...
There are many bad examples for that worldwide.
For example Lake Aral which was one of the biggest lake in the world, and in couple of decades it has turned to a desert... There are shipwrecks in the desert today... Terrible and surrealistic view... Lack of water usually means lack of life... especially at a place what used to be full of water and with full of life.
There are very sad examples about this topic.
Although there are very sad negative processes in nature, mostly because of people as an artist these unpleasant processes can still inspire me and I can turn it into a painting... Because even in 'ugly' things sometimes you can find something 'beautiful'.
This one is a good example for that.
This time I have used painters knives, which usually I use very rarely... Even though I know how beautiful textures we can make with it.
I might use painters knives more often in the future.
