Aiguille du midi Oil

This painting is the finest representation of French alps in Autumn sunset sun. The beautiful, spiky summit of Aiguille de midi was illuminated by this amazing warm glow just for few second. The trees below the summit flashed they stunning colours, from hot yellows to cold blues. The artist new the moment won’t last, and the camera has to be used to capture the magic. This single moment inspired the artist so much that she created two pieces based on this photo. Any unnecessary information were removed and the essence of the landscape was made by simple short brushstrokes and clear colours. The work is both settled and vibrant at the same time. You can loose yourself looking at the details of the mountains and the woodland.
