Description
**Silas Hareveil**
from the series *Guardians of the Unseen*
*Silas Hareveil* is an original sculptural 3D portrait exploring themes of quiet guardianship, connection to nature, and the unseen emotional worlds that exist beneath stillness.
The figure appears as a gentle woodland observer, accompanied by a small rabbit and watched over by a winged, nocturnal presence. These symbolic elements suggest a silent dialogue between vulnerability and protection, innocence and awareness. Within the *Guardians of the Unseen* series, such companions act as manifestations of inner states — fragile, instinctive, and deeply human.
Handcrafted from paper clay and air-dry clay on a wooden panel, the work merges painting and low-relief sculpture into a tactile, intimate form. The textured surface, softened contours, and muted earthy palette evoke the feeling of a timeworn object — something preserved, remembered, and quietly significant.
Natalie Verve’s practice often inhabits the space between childhood memory and psychological depth, creating figures that feel both tender and enigmatic. Through subtle expression and symbolic detail, *Silas Hareveil* invites the viewer into a contemplative encounter with stillness, care, and quiet presence.
