Description
Situated between the Great Blasket island and the mainland, off the coast of Co. Kerry, Ireland, the land on Beiginis was good enough to be used by the Great Blasket islanders for grazing. It is believed that the ruin on the island was once a dairy which was remarkable for having been run without a water supply. In early autumn grey seals arrive in huge numbers to breed. Beiginis is part of Ireland’s first Marine National Park.
