Description
Acrylic painting depicting the road through Geary on the Waternish peninsula on the Isle of Skye.
Visited Waternish and Geary on Skye recently. Its been such a long time since I was on this side of the Island. I was reminded of the stunning landscape with rain and sun on repeat.
A slight departure from my usual mostly sea paintings (although there is some) here I've concentrated more on capturing textures and colours to help depict the ruggedness of the land and also incorporating the ruined building to give a sense of place.
This Painting is finished with two coats of protective varnish and is ready for framing.
