Description
This is a painting of HMS Ark Royal that was eventually sunk in the Second World War. On November 13, 1941, the British aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal was torpedoed by the German U-boat U-81 off Gibraltar. The ship sank the following day, despite efforts to save her.
This is my version of a painting that was created by my father and used as a fund raising exercise for the "Wings for Victory" campaign.
