Candy Twirls Mixed Media

A unique, hand crafted, paper quill art picture in a mixed candy style of colours, Inspired by my love of Trees and Hearts.

I loved crafting the Tree which is made of waxed cotton, then adorning it with Candy Twirls, like leaves appearing on a tree in the Spring.

Every quill is created by hand and individually attached to the artwork, with thoughtfulness and attention to detail of where to place each piece to shape the effect. This piece took about 45-50 hours.

The picture is mounted on a Weng foil wood float frame 530mm x 430mm (20.9in x 16.9in).
