Description
Silent Liturgy
Charcoal and ash. A single figure caught with arms lifted in prayer, worship and supplication, body dissolving at the edges into smoke and shadow. There is no beginning, no end just form dissolving in and out of the void, Amorphous faces flank her like ancestors keeping watch — mute witnesses to a ceremony without words.
Cowrie shells trace a threshold along the bottom, an offering line between the seen and the unseen. Her beaded garments hold their detail with startling clarity even as the rest of her form blurs into the void, as if the drawing itself is caught between materialising and disappearing.
Silent Liturgy is devotion without sound — a body speaking the only language left when words run out.
Silent Liturgy serves as a focal point for reflection, bringing depth, mystery, and an undeniable spiritual weight into a space. It is crafted for collectors who appreciate figurative art that moves beyond simple depiction into the realm of emotion, myth, and sacred storytelling.
