Waiting out the storm Watercolours

Original painting: Waiting Out the Storm

Artwork Description

This watercolour painting captures an Eurasian blue tit perching gracefully on a frosted evergreen branch amidst a quiet winter storm. The warm, vibrant golden yellow and soft blue tones of the bird’s plumage against the cool, muted shades of the snowy background. Sprinkles of rich red berries peek out through heavy layers of white frost, adding a festive and rhythmic splash of color across the composition. With delicate brushwork that emphasizes the soft texture of the feathers and the gentle, atmospheric fallback of drifting snowflakes, this piece beautifully evokes the serene and resilient spirit of backyard wildlife during the coldest months of the year."
