Enlightenment Acrylic

I painted this piece shortly after I was diagnosed with the brain disorder called FND.

I had no idea what I wanted to create, I just picked up a brush and l painted from my heart and the emotions within me.

To me, this painting expresses how a serious illness can feel. There is the initial darkness and fear when you don't understand what is wrong with you, then the long journey to diagnosis and treatment. But for me, there is always that light ahead of a full recovery.

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and this painting expresses how that feels too.

My paintings are intentionally small, 8x8 inches, as many of my regular customers request this size as they are easy to hang, frame or place on a bookcase or mantlepiece.
