This piece came from a need to sit with something rather than move past it - the quiet, wordless grief that lost friendships can leave behind. There isn't always a reason, and there aren't always words. I went into the studio, chose the colours instinctively, and let the painting hold what I couldn't say. The hope, throughout, was to find some light.
