The Repair Photograph

From ENVIRONMENT SERTIES: This piece began with a peeling painted metal door, whose white broken disk vent at the top appeared to me as a crescent moon above a rural landscape. By overlaying multiple images — wildflowers, webbed sticky tape (photogrpah of a temporary repaired shop window,) an actual landscape, and a deer — I developed this environmental narrative to reflect the ongoing need to restore balance and harmony to our planet by collective action in the face of global environmental breakdown.
