Description
A favourite village in the Surrey Hills, not far from where I live, is a popular spot for tourists today. It used to be industrial, producing iron from mills powered by the nearby Tillingbourne river. Today the old mill ponds are still there but mostly growing watercress or farming trout. The striking clock is a reminder of Abinger's iron heritage
