Beautiful England Oil

Beautiful England is a summertime poppies and pheasants inspired contemporary English landscape painting. It is 40x40x1.5 inches. The painting is semi abstract in style, predominantly in reds, greens and blues. It was made after a walk I took one August afternoon near Selmeston village which sits to the north of the South Downs hills near Alfriston. It sums up my joy of walking and my love of country landscapes - especially in summer when the wildflowers are out and the lovely idiot pheasants are squawking around in them. This painting is dedicated to all those people who are working to preserve our natural landscapes, nature, wildlife and birds and to anyone who is fighting stop the South Downs being built over.
