Description
Description:
Part of the series Echoes of Ancients, this painting reinterprets a Cucuteni Neolithic idol, symbolising ancestral wisdom, spiritual resilience, and the continuity of feminine archetypes through time. The crowned figure emerges as a guardian of memory, standing between myth and material form.
Created with professional acrylics and modelling paste on 407 gsm cotton-primed canvas, the work reveals tactile sculptural textures and expressive marks that evoke the raw surfaces of ancient artifacts.
The painting is unmounted and unframed, with approximately 5 cm of unpainted margins on all sides, allowing the collector to mount or frame it if desired. It remains unvarnished to preserve the natural matte finish and authenticity of its textured surface.
Signed on the front, stamped on the back.
Includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
Provenance: Direct from the artist’s studio.
