Description
This painting grew out of a moment when I needed stillness more than anything else. The scene began as a loose memory — a bridge I once crossed on a day when my mind felt crowded, the light shifting just enough to make the world seem softer. As I worked, the landscape became less about a real place and more about the feeling of finding a quiet path through the noise.
The textured rocks in the foreground were built up slowly, layer by layer, almost like stacking thoughts until they finally settle. The sky came last, blended in gentle pastels to capture that in‑between time when the day is neither beginning nor ending, just breathing. The two birds were a spontaneous addition, a small reminder of movement and freedom — the kind that arrives when you least expect it.
This piece is, at its heart, about crossing from one emotional space into another. A bridge, a pause, a breath. A moment of calm reclaimed.
