Echoes in Gold – Textured Abstract Diptych Acrylic

Echoes in Gold is an original abstract diptych created in deep teal, turquoise and dark green tones, illuminated by warm golden accents. The two paintings form a harmonious pair, connected by colour, texture and the expressive golden lines that travel across their surfaces.

I built both canvases in numerous layers, creating pronounced structures, cracks, ridges and traces that give the paintings an almost weathered, archaeological character. Gold catches on the raised areas and changes subtly with the light, revealing details that are easy to miss at first glance.

Although designed as a diptych, each panel has its own individual composition. Together they create a powerful contemporary statement with a rich contrast between the mysterious dark tones and luminous gold.

Both paintings are presented in black floater frames, which emphasize the depth of the colours and give the pair a clean, elegant finish.
