There is something very fascinating in bamboo (for me) - its resilience, flexibility, strength and determination to just go for it. We used to live in a house which had bamboo in the garden and when my son was younger he would chop and break bamboo shoots to make "things", and the bush grew stronger. Now I have bamboo in a large pot to try and prevent it from overtaking my garden :) but the fascination remains. All my bamboo paintings are unique, there is no other like this one.
