Storm over the Glyders Oil

Currently on exhibition in Castle Arts centre in Frodsham until June 26.One of plein air pieces from the artists regular visits to Wales. This one is dated 7th May 2023. This is simple but very beautiful little landscape that would look stunning if a little collection of 3 or more.
Each of the plein air studies captures the weather, landscape, light in the most truthful way and looking at few of those paintings together gives real sense of adventure and beauty of the landscape. This dramatic view was painted before the clouds overtook the whole landscape. Luckily the artist had enough time to observe the fast moving clouds and capture the Wales weather at it's best.
