Stuart Dalby

Artistic background

Born into a family of artists and designers I worked in industry for twenty years in a textile based two dimensional design capacity.
I spent three years at art college in the process.
After which I worked for thirty years in a large provincial museum as design manager.
I paint landscapes and human life based on photographs that I make and some in the public domain.
I must emphasise that I do not copy directly from photographs, where would be the fun in that, but use them as a starting point to develop my own creative input.
