Artistic background

Art has been my passion since I was a young child and could first hold a paintbrush. I was due to study a degree in fine art at Southampton but joined the forces at the last moment. After several years painting superhero’s for my children I picked up my paintbrush seriously again and began creating contemporary and naive artworks. My work has been in Art Galleries in Perranporth, Penryn and Milford Marina and sells regularly in Auction Room contemporary art events. I’m a member of the Association of British Naive Artists and my work exhibited at The Crypt Gallery in St Ives. My paintings have featured in the media and The Artist magazine. I have a large following on Instagram and my work sells internationally with repeat customers. I want my art to evoke feelings of joy and tranquility. The best feeling is when a customer says that my art has brought happiness to their home.

Interests

I am lucky to live near Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor where I spend time hiking with my dog. Being in Cornwall brings me so much inspiration from pretty fishing harbours to the coast path with its gorgeous sea views and wild flowers. I love to travel and have been fortunate to experience adventures in Thailand, the Caribbean, America and several other countries. My favourite place so far is Railay Beach in Thailand with its beautiful white sand, warm sea and longtail boats that pass by the lime rock formations. If I could paint on that beach I would be in heaven.
