Artistic background

I have very little background in Art. I spent 2 terms studying Art at A level before venturing off into other topics, I realised I just wanted to create art that is pleasing to the eye and wasn't really interested in the meaning behind it.
I, however, have been drawing since before I could talk, biros on letter paper to pencils and small sketch books.
I have dipped in and out of art throughout my life, working with soft pastels, oil pastels and now acrylics.
I love creating scenes that evoke memories, if I cant afford to go back there, I will paint it, maybe I'm one of the very few who love looking at other peoples holiday snaps, often looking for that elusive scene I would love to recreate.
I will always consider a commission, I like to get an in depth view of what others see as beautiful and I love to hear about what was going on before the photo was taken and why it's so loved.
