Houghton le SpringArtistic background
It seems a difficult task to separate my art with my zest for birds and wildlife in general. My first memory of being able to paint was winning a local schools competition when I was 11 with a painting of a vase of flowers - I thought they looked dead and withered but perhaps the judges thought it was a new style! After dallying with oils and canvas while at university (not studying art, it has always fit with my "do it myself" approach to avoid coaching and develop my own style), I quickly passed the gouache phase to settle on acrylics. This also merged with my birds and wildlife passion, and so the two intertwined.
I have sold privately for many years now, mainly focusing on the aforementioned categories and adding commissions for pets.
