Conceptual Visual Artist & Fine-Art Photographer

In my artistic practice, I explore the illusory nature of the visible world. I am drawn to that elusive threshold where reality thins out, shedding its familiar outlines, and transforms into pure energy—a primordial sensation not yet confined by words or rigid forms.

Philosophy

Nature—and the forest in particular—is neither a subject of observation nor an aesthetic background for me. It is a living, pulsating space beyond time, a realm of absolute silence and deep memory. I do not seek documentary clarity. My gaze is directed to where the need to name and analyze everything disappears. I explore that borderline state of perception where the boundary between the viewer and the landscape dissolves, when the material world melts away, leaving only the rhythm, color, and breath of the space.

In this voluntary surrender of control over reality, within this visual fluidity, true freedom of the image is born. My art is a portal. It is an invitation to slow the rush of thoughts, to immerse oneself in contemplation, and to allow oneself to simply be, experiencing art on the level of pure intuition and feeling.

The Creative Act

My works are not reflections of reality, but its alchemy. Each image, as if woven from dreams, is born entirely in the moment of shooting, becoming the result of a deeply meditative act of presence. The core of my method is Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), inextricably interwoven with complex in-camera multiple exposures. By layering 10 to 12 frames onto the digital sensor, I literally erase linear time. I paint with light, physical movement, and the very air itself.

It is fundamentally important to me that the structure and geometry of each piece are formed exclusively by my gesture and vision in real time. I do not use digital manipulation to construct or distort forms. My subsequent work involves only a subtle, conscious tuning of color during RAW file development, akin to releasing a hidden emotional charge. I strive to convey not the physical appearance of the forest, but its invisible breath, creating a soft, enveloping, and almost mystical sense of presence for the viewer.

Artistic background

I am a Ukrainian visual artist and fine art photographer currently living and working in Germany. My artistic journey began in reportage and motorsport photography (2008–2010), working with the Ukrainian Federation of Autosport, which taught me to understand speed, dynamics, and temporal tension. Between 2010 and 2022, I explored street photography and studio portraiture, continuously developing my visual language and participating in exhibitions in my hometown of Mariupol. Since 2022, my practice has focused entirely on experimental fine art photography, centering on nature, trees, and visual perception. I have developed a signature in-camera technique utilizing Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), color, and multiple exposures. This shift represents a transition from capturing fast-paced external reality to exploring slow, mindful, and emotional inner states. My work has been exhibited extensively on an international level. Selected exhibitions include "Grafik aus Dortmund" in Germany (2026), "The World We Want" in London, UK (2026), EuroExpoArt at Mega Art Gallery in Venice, Italy (2025), and "Art Without Borders" in Chongqing, China (2025). My photography has been featured in publications such as Lens Magazine, Art Market Magazine, PhotoEd, and ICM International Creative Moment. Currently, I collaborate with international platforms and galleries, including ArtSolitaire / ars mundi and Moho Gallery.
