Marta is a Northampton-based abstract artist whose work is inspired by nature, emotion, and lived experience. Painting has been a lifelong passion, offering both a creative escape and a powerful means of expression.Working primarily with acrylics, Marta creates richly textured, contemporary abstract paintings that balance structure with spontaneity. Through layered surfaces, subtle transparencies, and confident colour relationships, her work captures movement, depth, and energy while allowing space for personal interpretation.
Texture is a defining element of Marta’s practice, bringing each piece to life and creating a strong physical presence. She continuously experiments with tools and techniques — including brushes, palette knives, sponges, and hand-applied marks — ensuring that every artwork is unique and expressive.
Marta’s paintings are designed to engage the viewer emotionally and visually, making them ideal statement pieces for modern interiors. Her evolving approach and intuitive process result in original works that feel both contemporary and timeless.
