Mark Cawood
Artistic background
Following my graduation in Fine Art at the University of East London in 2000, I created artwork focusing on themes such as animal welfare and climate change. From 2011-18 I concentrated on teaching, incorporating Art into the English curriculum to help students with special needs gain recognised qualifications (through the provider AIM).I published my book entitled Heavy Rainbows in 2024, and have since returned to showcasing artwork at public events, examples can be viewed at: heavyrainbows.com.
Quote
Jola Maria Mroszczyk, Curator at the POSK Gallery, London"Mark Cawood’s artwork speaks about the coexistence of beauty, culture, and life itself. His prism of colour, born from a lightless sky, reflects not only the sustainability of nature but also the courage of expression that transcends form."
