Artistic background
C K Purandare is a self-taught artist who works with oil paint on canvas. Whilst some paintings are decorative, others are non-decorative, and depict issues in the world around us. They are designed to provide a thought-provoking insight into a particular subject. The paintings offer a unique take on what can be portrayed in artwork. C K Purandare has had exhibitions in the UK and in India in previous years. This page is managed by the artist's daughter, Amala Purandare.
Quote
"You are making a big difference maybe it is not noticeable now or in our lifetime; but you are recording & dealing with subjects that others have been afraid to tackle."Interests
My father's main interest outside of art is to write articles on various social issues and current affairs for magazines based in India. He also enjoys reading newspapers and magazines not only for information, but also for inspiration for new paintings.Accepts Commissions?
