Aparna Venugopal

Aparna is a self-taught artist who rediscovered her passion for painting in her early 40s. Working from her home in Liverpool, she creates realist impressions of landscapes, portraits, and still life on canvas, paper, and panels using acrylic and oil paints. She occasionally explores abstract forms and is also experienced in working with watercolours and gouache. A regular participant in local art clubs and interest groups, Aparna welcomes commissions for abstract or contemporary pieces, landscapes, pet portraits, and social and material interactions—both indoors and out. She works with both reference images and scenes drawn from her imagination. Apart from painting, Aparna loves to read biographies and is a successful educator with a doctorate in management studies and has lived in three different continents. Aparna brings a unique blend of creativity and precision to commissioned works ranging from interior design pieces and wedding cards to portraits, pet paintings, and art-dance impressions. With a vibrant portfolio spanning abstract, contemporary, and landscape styles, their custom creations infuse everyday spaces and special moments with expressive, heartfelt artistry.
