Artistic background

Mrs Animation is a British artist, living and working in Barnstaple, North Devon. Surrounded by beautiful beaches and magnificent views of the North Devon countryside.
Mrs Animation is best known for her eye-catching, hypnotic, neon creations surrounded by sequins and music. Every original artwork is hand painted, and each sequin individually placed by herself.
Her love for art and music was given to her by her mother who was a textile artist and a serious T-rex, Rolling Stones and Disco fan! Mrs Animation remembers the house being full of fun, music and art when she was growing up as a child. The happiness of these memories is imbedded within every piece of her work.
Alongside her physical artworks she creates colour exploding visuals for several major DJ’S and Festivals. Mrs Animation wows the crowed when she performs her VJ sets with Leading DJ, Propaganda.
Mrs Animation has had her work used by John Giddings of Solo Music Agency, Isle of Wight Festival, Reading Festival, Boardmasters, Mermaid Gin, to name a few. She has also exhibited in galleries and art shows around the world.
Mrs Animation has developed an AR app. The Hocus Art app is designed so you can scan over her artwork with your mobile device, and it will come to life in an eruption of colour and music.
Her work is an “on the wall” VIP disco for the art collector.
