Artistic background
Stephan is a figurative artist based in Hackney, London. He has exhibited in solo and group shows in London and France. Working mainly in charcoal, he tries to convey the rhythms and weight of the human form, and the character of the sitter. His drawings are often made on paper prepared with an ink and acrylic wash, with the lines made by the brush working with and contrasting with the curves and angles of the body.Interests
