Challenging Mixed Media

This painting includes silver and bronze leaf, acrylic medium and acrylic paint. It captures the fleeting moment of a sunset, where the light transforms the mountain peaks into molten gold, contrasted with the deep, earthy tones of the mountainous range. The warm palette of ochres and siennas interacts with the metallic leaf, creating a sense of heat and energy radiating from the rocky summit. In dimmer light, the image looks quite different (see image 2).
