Emma Davies

Artistic background

Emma Davies is an amateur painter living and working in East London. She is interested in portraying the chinks of light that can emerge through trauma and destruction. She works in oil, collage and acrylic paint, mainly on canvas. Davies is largely self-taught with some mentors along the way. She has been part of the Turps Banana community since 2022, participating in the off-site programme, the Correspondence Course and a couple of group exhibitions. Davies has also participated in nine local group exhibitions. Her work is in a few private collections.
