The King Surveys his Realm Oil

This piece started out as an ink drawing that I added to with oil paints.
It is a British kingfisher sitting on a log and watching for fish. The blue and green at the bottom of the painting represents water. I love to paint birds and the kingfisher with its bright jewel-like colours is one of my favourites.
The painting is framed in a light oak wood-effect frame and can be either hung on the wall or displayed on a shelf. The board is 6" x 8", and the frame is 1.2" wide.
