In this watercolour, I painted a traditional wooden house nestled on La Digue in Seychelles. I wanted to capture the warmth and quiet charm of island life—the deep red roof glowing against a tapestry of lush tropical foliage. The palms lean gently inward, framing the scene like guardians of this secluded retreat. The stone steps lead the eye toward the shaded veranda, inviting a sense of calm and nostalgia. Through vivid washes and layered color, I aimed to express both the vibrant energy of the landscape and the tranquil rhythm of island days.
