Tulip Fantasia Oil

I painted this decorative botanical composition to celebrate the remarkable variety of tulips through colour, form, and design. Set against a vibrant cobalt blue background, I brought together different tulip cultivars, each with its own distinctive shape and character, from elegant goblet blooms to ruffled and lily-flowered varieties. Flowing green foliage and stylised gold leaves create a decorative framework that complements the flowers without competing for attention. Rather than depicting a garden exactly as it appears, I wanted to create a harmonious arrangement that highlights the diversity, beauty, and symbolism of tulips, using strong colour contrasts, graceful lines, and carefully balanced composition. The rich blue background enhances the brilliance of the blooms, while the gold detailing adds warmth and a contemporary decorative quality.

The sides are painted blue, the work can be hung unframed and picture hanging fittings are in place.
