Blue Water Seascape N 2 Acrylic

Blue abstract water landscape n°2, oil on stretched canvas, 60X60 cm (23.6″X23.6″) . Edges 2 cm (0.78″) thick.

The underpainting is textured with a heavy body acrylic gel medium.
I used different colors of blue : turquoise, phtalocyanine red shade and green shade, different ultramarine, with, sometimes, touches of transparent phtalo green (blue shade) to add subtile different tones.
I worked with palette knife to spread the paste paint, and preserve textures. Then I applied many glazes, with a soft brush. These thin layers of transparent colours modify the tones and bring great richness and depth to the tones. I layered glazes and paste applications several times.
The work is not painted in impasto. The pictorial layers are rather thin, despite the textures.
The painting continues on the edges.

The canvas will be delivered ready to hang, with a notched clip hanger.
